Mobile screening machine on tracks
The S250, most likely the largest mobile class sifter, was built in series by global manufacturer McCloskey International. It was the first in Europe to be delivered and put into service by the Ostend-based firm Verhelst aannemingen.
The market demand for ever higher quality classified products from the recycling stream is growing steadily. Therefore, as an answer, a heavier, larger and more efficient machine with high-energy screening box resulting in unmatched capacities in various task materials.
The machine, weighing over 40 tons, is equipped with a 230 kW motor. By means of an efficient and amply calculated hydraulic system, this maximum hydraulic power is transferred to the Heavy Duty swing axle via 2 drive motors.
The screening box with length of 6750 mm and width of 1830 mm is equipped with three decks.
A total screening area of no less than 36 square meters.
Both upper decks have transversely tensioned screening nets, while the screening nets in the lower deck are tensioned lengthwise. This makes the machine particularly suitable for screening and classifying various products into fine and pure fractions. The manufacturer of this machine has designed a special and very sturdy self-supporting box frame, equipped with four hydraulic support feet. This is not only to stabilize the large forces that can lead to movement, but also to transfer these forces maximally as a "G" force to the sieving net with minimal energy loss.
To discharge all separated fractions in different directions and heights, the screening machine is equipped with seven generously sized conveyors. These are all driven independently and are adjustable in speed, allowing maximum and error-free discharge of all separated products.
Innovative solutions for recycling
To meet the requirements proposed by Verhelst, the importer for Belgium, the company Naessens Hydraulics, increased the volume of the task bunker to 15000 liters.
To withstand the abrasive properties of the material, the inside of the statement bunker is equipped with additional wear-resistant cladding material made of Hardox.
An automatic overload system is integrated so that the machine operates continuously at the maximum set capacity without undue load. This is designed to consistently ensure maximum performance.
