Both crushers and shredders are suitable for processing demolition and construction waste, depending on your project. Choosing the right machine depends on factors such as the volume of the material, the space available on site and the required processing capacity. Shredders are often used for coarser or mixed materials, such as the Arjes Impaktor with concrete shaft. For crushing hard materials such as concrete and rubble, jaw crushers and cone crushers, such as compact or robust models from McCloskey, are particularly suitable.

     </details>

Both shredders and crushers are suitable for breaking up concrete, depending on the application. Our Arjes Impaktor shredders, equipped with impact shafts (stone rotors), are particularly well-suited for processing concrete rubble and larger concrete structures such as arches. In addition, jaw crushers and cone crushers are also ideal for efficiently breaking concrete down into reusable fractions.

     </details>

The difference between a crusher and a shredder lies in the way the material is reduced in size. A crusher (such as a jaw crusher or cone crusher) is used to break down hard materials such as concrete, stone and asphalt into smaller fractions with a fairly precise particle size. A shredder, on the other hand, tears and reduces material in a coarser manner and is suitable for mixed or difficult-to-process materials such as waste wood, green waste and construction waste. Depending on the type of material and the desired final size, we would be happy to recommend the most suitable machine for your application.

     </details>

The difference between a flat-deck screen and a trommel screen lies in the way the material is screened. A flat-deck screen uses flat screening decks that vibrate the material, thereby separating it quickly and accurately into different fractions. This screen is particularly suitable for dry, finer materials, such as sand, aggregates and construction waste. A trommel screen, on the other hand, uses a rotating drum in which the material is tumbled. This type of screen is better suited to sticky materials such as soil, compost, and green waste, as it is less prone to clogging.

     </details>

Yes, our screening systems can also be used to screen wet or damp material. Trommel screens are particularly suitable for this purpose, as they are less prone to blockages when handling sticky or damp material such as soil, compost or loam. In some cases, wet material can also be processed using flat-deck screens, depending on its compositon and moisture content.

     </details>

Yes, with our screening systems, you can separate multiple fractions at the same time. We offer 2- and 3-fraction screens, such as the McCloskey R155 and the McCloskey S190, which allow you to separate material into different grain sizes. These machines can be fitted with screen meshes of various mesh sizes, depending on the desired fractions. For example, you can separate fine, medium and coarse materials from one another in a single pass. The space required for a crusher or shredder depends on the type of machine and the scale of your project. Our machines and systems range from compact models to large, robust powerhouses. For a small site or a limited amount of material to be processed, a compact model is often sufficient, whilst larger projects require more space. When selecting the right machines, we always advise you on the optimal layout and space required, so that you can work efficiently and safely.

     </details>

With a Taurus scrap shear, you can process a wide range of metals and scrap materials. These include metal profiles, pipes, sheet metal, rails and mixed demolition waste. These machines are designed to efficiently cut and reduce a variety of shapes and volumes. Thanks to their versatility, scrap shears are often used in the recycling sector for processing and preparing metals for further processing.

     </details>

A hammer mill is used to reduce and separate complex waste streams, particularly in metal recycling. These machines process materials such as light scrap, end-of-life vehicles, electrical and electronic equipment, and household appliances. Powerful rotating hammers intensively crush the material, after which metals and other raw materials can be efficiently separated. Hammer mills are ideal for recovering ferrous and non-ferrous metals from mixed materials and are often used in recycling plants to convert waste streams into reusable raw materials.

     </details>

Most of our machines are transported using a flatbed lorry. This is the most suitable and safest way to transport large crushers and screening plants. For our more compact machines, such as the Arjes Impaktor 250, transport via a hook-lift system is also possible in certain cases. Our washing and sorting plants are often transported in separate sections. Depending on the type of machine, its weight and dimensions, we will always advise you on the most suitable transport method.

     </details>
