A mobile horizontal silo is commonly used in mobile applications where mobility is essential, such as in mobile concrete and mixing plants at temporary construction sites and infrastructure projects. The cement silo or lime silo can serve as a storage and/or dosing silo in soil improvement plants, as for example with the Rematech drum screen 15.7T.
A vertical silo usually finds application with fixed installations that are not moved for an extended period of time. In many cases, a permit is required for its placement. The arrangement requires the use of a crane because of the considerable height in the vertical position.
