Replacing impact bars on a rotor crusher in 5 steps

Het vervangen of het draaien van de slaglijsten van een rotorbreker wordt hier in deze post beschreven in vijf stappen.
The rotor is equipped with 4 impact bars which systematically wear down as the machine works through friction and contact with the feed material.
The impact bars are rotated or replaced in pairs each time. This is done periodically depending on the abrasiveness, compressive strength and CSS of the rotor crusher. The operator of the machine will be alert at all times and regularly check the condition of the impact bars while operating the mobile crusher. This is not only to ensure proper production of the machine, but more importantly to prevent excessive wear of the impact bars from affecting and damaging the rotor itself.
Proper follow-up and monitoring can prevent major damage and repair costs.
Step 1: Securing the rotor using the safety pin.

This locks the rotor and prevents it from unintentionally rotating due to imbalance during maintenance work.
Step 2: Remove the locking plate, which centers the impact bar and is secured with two hex socket screws.

Step 3: Using a hydraulic cylinder, push the impact bar sideways out of the rotor in three steps and hang it in the suspension bracket.

Step 4: Manually rotate the impact bar into the hanger and slide it back into the rotor.

Step 5: Reinstall the locking plate and remove the safety pin.

Now repeat these steps for the opposite impact bar in the rotor. After completing this work, the CSS must be reset to the correct opening. This is done by adding extra thick plates, which hold the counter frames at the correct position of the impact bar, depending on the desired end product to be produced.
