There is an increasing demand for the reuse of excavated soil in infrastructure, sewerage and cable works. In order to reuse this soil for backfiling around new sewer pipes and utilities, it is essential to clear it of stones larger than 30 mm and impurities such as wood, plastic and other foreign materials. In addition, after compaction, the soil must regain the necessary bearing capacity and structure to achieve positive results in plate load tests.

To achieve this goal, it is necessary to initially screen the excavated soil to the desired size of 0/30 mm. This soil can then be mixed with a certain percentage of quicklime so that, after processing, the required structure and bearing capacity are regained. This process requires considerable labour, given the various operations and soil movements that must be performed.

The solution to do this quickly and efficiently is with a Rematech Trommelscreen 12.4T
